Gold you can trace, from a company you can audit.
A refinery can only accept gold with a proven responsible origin, so we build due diligence into every purchase.
Due diligence on every lot.
Our sourcing policy follows the five-step framework of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, including its gold supplement.
In the UAE we operate under the Ministry of Economy's due diligence regulations for responsible gold sourcing and the federal anti-money-laundering rules for dealers in precious metals. In Tanzania we work within the Mining Act and the requirements of the Mining Commission.
- Supplier checks
- Mining licences verified, mine sites identified and suppliers screened before the first purchase.
- Red flags
- No gold linked to conflict, forced or child labour, or serious human rights abuses.
- AML / CFT
- Customer identification, sanctions screening and suspicious-transaction reporting.
- Record keeping
- Permits, assays, contracts and payments kept for every transaction.
