A seasoned gold trader and strategist, Mr. Kumar co-founded Apex Mines and Minerals and leads both companies, Apex Mines and Minerals Africa Limited in Tanzania and Apex Mines and Minerals in Dubai. He has built Apex's position in the international gold market, forming global partnerships and holding the business to strict ethical and compliance standards.
He leads the group's trading, counterparty relationships, contract structuring and trade finance.

Mr. Sathyamurthy co-founded Apex Mines and Minerals and leads both companies in Tanzania and the UAE. With deep experience in gold exploration and community engagement, he makes sure all mining and sourcing is carried out responsibly, sustainably and with respect for local customs.
He leads the group's mining operations, supplier relationships and export permits, and checks the condition of every lot before it is shipped.
Sourcing is managed in Tanzania and sales and compliance in Dubai, so no lot is approved by one person end to end.
We identify every supplier and buyer, verify who owns them and screen them against sanctions lists before trading.
Permits, assays, contracts and payment records are kept for every transaction and available to auditors and refiners.
